|Description:||Our Donor Technicians are on the front line every day, serving our blood donors and assisting them in their desire to donate the blood components needed to save lives. Donor Techs are hard working and multi-talented. They've got to be detail oriented and accurate in everything they do, all while providing outstanding customer service to our donors! If you think you've got what it takes to become a Donor Tech with Mississippi Blood Services, you don't even need experience. We have an excellent paid training program. |
|Duties:||Provide outstanding customer service to donors, with all interactions to be conducted in a friendly, supportive and professional manner. -Perform all aspects of registration, donor screening, and venipuncture in an accurate and efficient manner. -Perform accurate computer data entry, and accurate paperwork documentation. Calibrate and maintain cleanliness of equipment before and after collection activities. Acquire and maintain current CPR certification -Achieve and maintain an excellent attendance record.|
High school graduate or equivalent along with a stable work history; previous experience or training desirable. -Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry-typing test will be given via the WIN centers-Desire to make a difference - in this case, a life saving difference - every single day -Ability to work with and through others in a friendly, cooperative, unselfish manner -Ability to work closely and accurately within established guidelines, while sometimes working at a faster than average pace -Aware of and responsive to the needs and concerns of others. -
